short stroll to the center of Yalikavak and Port
Bodrum marina, on the Bodrum peninsular of Turkey.

meticulously clean. Beautifully maintained green, well planted gardens with
mature tropical trees and colourful plants, large grassed area. Two large adult
and two children's

pools with showers , parasol's and sun beds only yards from the villa,
{ both pool area's quiet, cleaned daily, and relaxing }. A shaded table tennis
area is situated just off the main pool. A small minimarket is within easy
walking distance from the villa. A short stroll will take you to the start of Yalikavak
town beach, from here it is a short walk to the town center and further on, Port
Bodrum marina. You will pass many bars, restaurants and shops on your
way. Visit the famous Yalikavak market, open every Thursday, selling clothes,
food, watches, jewellery and just about anything else you could think
of , very cheap ! If You hire a car there is adequate car parking close to the
villa. A dolmus { bus } service into Yalikavak town center, runs past one of the
complex entrances. Yalikavak is 35 minutes from Bodrum

Yalikavak
Yalikavak is a village community some 17 Kilometers from the
resort of Bodrum, more relaxed than the busier holiday
resorts, but the overwhelmingly friendly atmosphere of Yalikavak satisfies
the most discerning of holiday travelers looking for the real Turkey.
Yalikavaks' boundaries stretch in the North from the old marina,
right around the bay, to the brand new modern Port Bodrum marina
to the south. Between the two marinas are a wide variety of
restaurants, cafes and many small sandy
beaches.
The main street in Yalikavak is
well served with a variety of shops and supermarkets. Behind the main village
is the Bus Station, Municipal offices, bank and the area on which the
Yalikavak market is held every Thursday. If you are energetic
and are keen on walking, a couple of kilometers out of the village towards
Bodrum will offer you superb views over Yalikavak bay and Village.
One of the must see features of the Yalikavak area is an Art gallery and Cafe
some 30 minutes walk up the hills to Sandima, run by a Turkish couple, both
of whom are very talented artists, they welcome visitors and go out of there
way to ensure your stay is both memorable and enlightening, not to mention
enjoying a glorious view whilst sipping an ice cold beer. There are many
places to visit from Yalikavak, including - Bodrum, full of nightlife and
fine restaurants, Gumusluk, ancient Myndos, Torba, Gumbet, Akyarlar,
Turgutreis, Bitez, Gundogan, Turkbuku, Kargi, Karaincir to name a few. All
places are easily reachable by car or dolmus. Ephesus is an easily arranged
tour from Bodrum. Kos can be reached from Bodrum by daily ferry.
Bodrum
For those that may want a more hectic night out Bodrum is only a short bus trip away from Yalikavak, with many bars, restaurants and disco's, including the famous Halikarnass disco. For history lovers the superb St Peters castle is a must, also the Bodrum museum of underwater archaeology within the castle, other historical sites include the amphitheatre and the mausoleum, one of the 7 wonders of the World.
Port bodrum marina

A short stroll from the center of Yalikavak is Port Bodrum Marina, almost a holiday resort in itself with bars, restaurants, designer shops, grassed relaxation area's and of course, the sleek yachts from many nations. The open air 2500 seat " moonlight cinema " is located just behind port bodrum marina, free on Thursdays for films, concerts, theatre etc.
